Who we are

Reignance Studios is an Unreal Engine 5 engineering studio run by Selwyn Rajwadi. For the personal data described here, Reignance Studios is the controller: it decides why and how the data is used.

Studios we contact about our services

We send a small number of individual business emails to people at game studios whose work involves Unreal Engine. Each email is written about that studio's own public situation. A person reviews every first email before it is sent. We don't buy email lists, and we don't guess email addresses.

What we collect

• About you: your name, job title and work email address, where your studio or you published them. If you publish it, also the country you work from.
• About your studio: the studio's name, website, country, approximate team size and ownership. Also its public projects and facts about them. Examples: the engine it uses, open engineering roles, announced release dates, publishing deals, and themes in public player reviews of its games.
• Our correspondence: the emails we exchange, the date of each message, and whether you replied, asked us to stop, or the message bounced.
• An opt-out record: if you unsubscribe, we keep a one-way hash of your email address (SHA-256), and sometimes your studio's domain, so that we never contact you again.

Where it comes from

Only from public sources:

• your studio's website;
• public job boards and applicant-tracking pages (such as Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby);
• Steam store pages and public Steam reviews;
• PCGamingWiki;
• game-industry news;
• for UK companies, the Companies House register.

We follow each website's robots.txt rules and access pages slowly and politely. We don't scrape LinkedIn.

Why we use it, and on what basis

• Purpose: to decide whether our Unreal Engine services are likely to be relevant to your studio right now, and to send you a short, specific business email about them. The email offers a free technical review, with at most three brief follow-ups if you don't reply.
• UK, EU and EEA: our legitimate interest in offering relevant business services to businesses. The contact is limited to your professional role, and you can opt out at any time.
• Canada: implied consent under Canada's anti-spam law (CASL). Your work address was published without a statement refusing unsolicited messages, and our message relates to your role.
• Australia and New Zealand: inferred consent, on the same basis: your address was conspicuously published, and the message relates to your role.
• United States: we follow the CAN-SPAM Act. Every email identifies us, gives our postal address, and includes a working opt-out.

We only contact studios in countries where this kind of business email is permitted, and we don't contact individuals who trade as sole traders in the UK. Each studio gets one email sequence. We don't start another one automatically, and never with anyone who has opted out.

Automated steps and AI

Software ranks studios by how relevant our services appear to be, using the public facts above. We use an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) to pick out facts from public pages and to prepare email drafts. Every fact the AI suggests is checked word for word against the source page before it's used, and a person reviews every first email before it's sent. None of this produces decisions with legal or similarly significant effects for you. It only decides whether we write to you.

How long we keep it

• Prospect data (your name, role, address and the studio facts): up to 12 months after our last message. After that it's deleted or anonymised, unless you became a client or asked us to stay in touch.
• Correspondence: for the same 12 months, or longer if we start working together (see clients).
• Opt-out record: the hashed address and domain are kept for as long as we send any outreach. That's the only way to honour your request not to be contacted again. The hash can't be turned back into your address.

Stopping our emails

Any one of these works immediately and permanently: reply "no", click the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or write to contact@reignancestudios.com. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing, and we don't ask for a reason.

Website visitors and cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking. Here is everything it does store or send:

"Let's talk" and "Book" links open Calendly, a separate scheduling service. Calendly's own privacy policy applies there, and anything you enter in a booking is shared with us so we can meet.

If we ever add optional analytics or marketing tools, they will stay off until you allow them in privacy settings.

Clients and enquiries

If you contact us or we work together, we use your contact details, our correspondence and project records to reply, deliver the work, invoice, and meet legal duties. The basis is our contract with you, or the steps you asked us to take before one. We keep business and invoicing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then delete them.

Service providers

We don't sell personal data or share it for others' marketing. We use these providers to run the business:

• Lark (Lark Technologies Pte. Ltd.): business email.
• Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC): the AI model used to extract public facts and prepare drafts.
• Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.): website hosting, DNS, security, cookieless analytics.
• [HOSTING PROVIDER]: the server that runs our own lead and CRM software. That software (including our CRM) is self-hosted, so the data isn't shared with a CRM vendor.
• Calendly (Calendly LLC): only if you book a meeting.
• Google (Google LLC): web fonts, as described above.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

We're based in India, and our providers operate in several countries, including the United States and Singapore. If you're in the UK, EU or EEA, your data may be processed outside it. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the UK's international data transfer addendum, as offered by our providers.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you can ask us to:

• show you the data we hold about you;
• correct it;
• delete it;
• restrict its use;
• give you a copy in a portable format;
• stop using it. For direct marketing, stopping is always your absolute right.

Write to contact@reignancestudios.com. We'll reply within one month. If you ask us to delete your data, we keep only the hashed opt-out record, so that you aren't contacted again.

You can also complain to a data protection authority. In the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, your local supervisory authority; in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner; in Australia, the OAIC. We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
