In short.
Every engagement has a written Statement of Work (SOW) with a fixed scope, a price in US dollars and acceptance criteria. If the SOW and this page disagree, the SOW wins.
Short engagements are paid upfront. Longer ones are paid in milestones, starting with a deposit. You pay by Wise USD transfer, SWIFT wire or PayPal.
Code goes into your own repository. You get 5 business days to review each delivery and 14 days of defect support after the final one. The IP becomes yours once you've paid in full.
Your project is confidential by default. We sign a mutual NDA before you share anything.

Who we are
Reignance Studios is an Unreal Engine 5 engineering studio run by Selwyn Rajwadi as a sole proprietorship in India. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Reignance Studios, and "you" means the studio or company that engages us.

How these terms apply
These terms cover every engagement: Live Teardown Calls, Architecture Diagnostics, Fix Sprints, fixed-scope builds, retainers and embedded work. They also cover your use of this website.
Each paid engagement also has a Statement of Work, which sets out the scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, dates and fees. If a signed SOW or a signed NDA says something different from this page, the SOW or NDA applies. Your own purchase-order terms apply only if we agree to them in writing.
Quotes and bookings
- The Live Teardown Call is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
- A quote or SOW is valid for 14 days.
- A start date is held once the SOW is signed and the deposit or upfront fee has arrived.
- All engagements are delivered by one senior engineer. We don't subcontract any part of your work without your written approval.
Fees and payment schedule
All prices and invoices are in US dollars (USD). Unless your SOW says otherwise, we invoice as follows:
| Engagement | Price | When you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Live Teardown Call | Free | Nothing to pay |
| Architecture Diagnostic | From $749 | 100% before work starts. The full fee is credited against a Fix Sprint or build booked within 30 days of the findings |
| Fix Sprint (5 days) | Quoted in the SOW | 100% before work starts |
| Fixed-scope build, up to 2 weeks | Quoted in the SOW | 50% to book the start date, 50% on acceptance |
| Fixed-scope build, longer than 2 weeks | Quoted in the SOW | 30% to book, 40% at the mid-point milestone, 30% on acceptance |
| Retainer or embedded | Monthly fee in the SOW | Monthly in advance, with a 3-month minimum. Unused hours don't carry over |
- Milestone invoices are due within 7 days.
- If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we pause work until it's paid, and the delivery dates move by the length of the pause.
- Work outside the SOW is billed at our hourly rate or a fixed fee, and only after you approve a change request (see Changes to scope).
Payment methods
You can pay in any of these ways. The details are printed on every invoice and in our Vendor Pack:
- USD bank transfer through Wise: ACH or Fedwire for US payers, or an international USD wire. This is our default method.
- SWIFT wire to our business bank account in India, with charges set to "OUR" so the sender pays them.
- PayPal: for invoices of $2,400 or less.
You pay your own sending fees, and the invoiced amount must arrive in full. We don't accept cheques or cryptocurrency.
Our bank details never change by email alone. If you get a message saying they've changed, confirm it with us on a call before you pay.
Taxes
Our fees don't include any taxes, duties or levies that apply in your country; you're responsible for those. For clients outside India, our services are an export of services and carry no Indian GST.
We supply a signed Form W-8BEN to US clients and can provide an Indian tax residency certificate on request. If your law requires you to withhold tax from our payment, tell us before the SOW is signed so the fee can reflect it.
Delivery
- Code goes only into your version control, as Git pull requests or Perforce changelists on the branch you name, built against your engine version. We never send source code by email or file share.
- Documents (findings, architecture notes and handoff docs) come as PDF, plus Markdown in your repository.
- Walkthroughs are recorded and shared to a location you control.
- Progress: a short written update at the end of each working day in your team chat, and a weekly status report.
- Hours: we work in IST (UTC+5:30) and agree a fixed daily overlap window with your team.
Dates in an SOW are good-faith targets. If we're waiting on access, answers or reviews from you, the dates move by the same number of days.
Acceptance and support
- Each deliverable is measured against the acceptance criteria in the SOW.
- After a delivery, you have 5 business days to review it and send a written list of any defects. We fix defects against the criteria at no cost.
- If we don't receive a defect list within those 5 business days, or you start using the deliverable in production, the delivery counts as accepted.
- For 14 days after final acceptance, we fix defects in the delivered work at no cost. New features, and problems caused by later changes to your project or engine, are outside this support. We can quote for them separately.
Changes to scope
If you want to add, remove or change something in the SOW, we write a short change request covering the cost, the effect on dates and any new acceptance criteria. Work on the change starts only after you approve it in writing; an email is enough. Small clarifications that fit within the agreed fee don't need a change request.
Your part
- Give us access to your repository, a working build and the information in our kickoff checklist before the start date.
- Name one person who can make decisions and who answers questions within one business day.
- Make sure you have the right to share the code, assets and third-party material you give us.
Intellectual property
- Once you've paid all the fees for an engagement in full, we assign to you all rights in the code, documents and other work we created specifically for your project.
- We keep ownership of tools, libraries and know-how we already had or developed independently. Where any of that ends up in your deliverables, you get a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and change it as part of your project.
- Third-party code (for example Unreal Engine or plugins) remains under its own licence.
- We don't show your project, name or footage publicly without your written consent. Case studies on this website are anonymised and published with permission.
Confidentiality and access
Everything you share with us is confidential by default. We sign a mutual NDA before you share any details, using our template or yours. On the access you give us, we use two-factor authentication and only the permissions the work needs.
When the engagement ends, we hand back access and delete our local copies of your material within 30 days. We confirm this in writing. Records we're legally required to keep, such as invoices, are the only exception.
Cancelling and rescheduling
- Before work starts: if you cancel more than 5 business days before the start date, we refund the upfront fee or deposit in full. If you cancel later than that, we refund it less 25%, which covers the reserved time.
- Rescheduling: you can move a start date once at no cost, if you give us at least 5 business days' notice.
- After work starts: either side can end an SOW with 5 business days' written notice. You pay for the work done up to the end date, and we deliver everything completed so far. The deposit isn't refundable once work has started.
- Retainers: after the 3-month minimum, either side can end a retainer with 30 days' notice.
- If you don't pay an invoice within 30 days of its due date, we can end the engagement. In that case, the rights in any work you haven't paid for stay with us.
Warranty and liability
We do the work with reasonable skill and care, in line with good Unreal Engine practice. Apart from that and the acceptance and support terms above, we give no other warranties to the extent the law allows. In particular, we don't guarantee commercial results, platform certification or compatibility with future engine versions.
Our total liability for an engagement is limited to the fees you paid us for it. For retainers, the limit is the fees paid in the 3 months before the claim. Neither side is liable to the other for lost profits, lost revenue or indirect losses. None of this limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or either side's liability for breaching confidentiality.
Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control, such as a power or network outage, a natural disaster or a government action. The affected side will tell the other promptly.
Using this website
The articles, case files and code snippets on this site are general engineering information. They aren't advice for your specific project. Engine versions change, so test anything before you rely on it.
You may quote short passages with a link back to the source. Code snippets in Field Notes may be used in your own projects without attribution. Everything else on this site, including the text, design, logo and images, belongs to Reignance Studios or its licensors. How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Notice.
Law and disputes
These terms and every engagement are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, we'll first try to resolve it in good faith on a call within 30 days. If that doesn't work, the courts at Vadodara, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the SOW names another forum.
We may update this page. Changes apply to engagements that start after the date at the top of the page. A signed SOW stays under the terms that applied when it was signed.
